MoldFlow Our years of plastic engineering knowledge and tooling experience combined with the latest technological advancements provide you with the most cost-effective and efficient service processes and solutions. Our Plastic Engineering & Technical Services team is a recognized leader in providing analytical services in mold-filling, mold cooling, shrink & warp analysis, gas assist analysis, injection compression, co-injection and more. To achieve the most optimal manufacturing solution, we recommend the Moldflow® simulation process for multiple gate parts, family tooling, multicavity and imbalanced molds. Save time and money by conducting a Moldflow® analysis during the design process.

Our test and measurement services are designed to save customers the costly investment of prototype tooling and repetitive mold trials. Our in-house Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) staff will provide a detailed analysis of the F.E.A. part model with state-of-the-art computer software and systems. The test and measurement process identifies the best gating and process parameter solutions for the tool prior to the expense of building the mold. This troubleshooting process saves time, money and production schedules.

Key Benefits
There are extensive benefits to test and measurement analysis. You may want to consider conducting a
test and measurement analysis to:

◊ Find optimal processing performance

◊ Identify problems through troubleshooting

◊ Determine gating of tool

Our GOLD (Expert) Certified Process
Our CAE team works with you to determine the desired objectives that need to be
achieved at the end result. Plastic Engineering & Technical Services will strive to optimize
the gate layout during the flow analysis. Our test and measurement steps follow:

◊ Create a midplane dual domain or 3D surface model of the part (F.E.A. mesh)

◊ Select a thermoplastic resin

◊ Determine the molding
process window

◊ Conduct various interations (i.e., evaluate gate locations,
weld line positions, uniform cavity pressure, etc.)

◊ Report comprehensive results of the analysis (15-70 pages)

The CAE report explains the analysis results with graphic images that depict the various flow characteristics of the molding process. We will work with you to interpret the report and understand the analysis conducted during the test and measurement of the mold. The CAE team will provide findings and
recommendations to achieve optimal processes and quality part performance. You can easily determine potential design problems and optional gating solutions before the mold or hot runner manifold system is built.
